Trust: (n) assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something; one in which confidence is placed. (v) to commit or place in one's care or keeping; to rely on the truthfulness or accuracy of; to hope or expect confidently.
i was talking to friend recently and the subject of trust came up. its such a small word, you would think it would be easy to do. but many times i know i find myself not trusting in what the Lord is doing in my life, especially when i dont understand how it can better my life and relationship with Him. He tells us that all things work together for good, to them that love Him. its so easy to quote, but so hard to believe sometimes. we get caught up so much in trying to figure out what the Lord is doing, that we miss an opportunity to just trust Him. when we let go of our human desire to know now, and just let God work His will in His way, it will turn out for good.

Sonnet 116
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O, no! it is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

Vacation

Well, i just got back from a pretty awesome vacation in Florida. i got to hang out with my relatives alot, and they are crazy so it was a load of fun. i ate way more food than i thought was humanly possible. i also had opportunities to spend time with relatives i hardly ever see. Christmas Eve we went up to see my great uncle in the hospital. he is ICU because he has a lung condition which makes it so his lungs wont expand. he is on 100% oxygen to help with his breathing, but he gets worse everyday. it is very hard to talk to him cuz he has an oxygen mask and he cant have it off for any period of time. he is a self-proclaimed diest and he gets very angry when you talk about Christianity or anything to do with it. the short amount of time we spent with him was very eye-opening. anyway, on to happier stuff...i got to hang out with my younger cousin. hes 11 and thinks he knows everything, which makes things interesting. hes about two inches shorter than me and 10lbs lighter, but he decided i was gonna give him a piggy back ride around my aunt's house. i ended up spraining my wrist during this excursion, but i got him back later when he decided to wrestle me. my family and i went to the cheesecake factory with my cousin and his new wife. it was really awkward at first because i think i had met him like twice in my entire life, so we really didnt have much to talk about. thankfully his wife and i got along really well, so i just talked to her the whole time. anyway, her dad owns a box at Raymond James Stadium (for all of you ignorant people out there, thats where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play football) and they said the next time we were down in Floriday when the Bucs were playin they would give us their box seats!! how hott is that?? o, and i had the most amazing cheesecake at that place; it was white chocolate caramel latte cheesecake. thats pretty much it. i got money and clothes for Christmas....woohoo. bye
